Peachtree City Youth Football and Cheer 2016 Registration!
Welcome to another great year of youth football. We are excited to announce a merger of the best youth football programs in Georgia. The Starr's Mill Youth Football program and the McIntosh Chiefs Youth Football Program have formally merged to form Peachtree City Youth Football. The main goal is to provide the best youth football opportunity for our youth football players and cheerleaders.
The primary purpose for this merger was to expand our available resources and to provide this area with a first-class feeder system for youth football and cheer.
This merger will provide many benefits:
1. Players will have the opportunity to play football in the high school district in which they live.
2. We will have access to more practice and playing fields in the Community, which have been under-utilized in recent years
3. With the addition of McIntosh Youth Football we have more teams in close proximity to compete with.
4. This centralized approach will allow our volunteers to work together to build youth football in Peachtree City and Fayette County.
Most families will not notice a difference as you will continue to practice and play home games either at Starr's Mill, Riley Field, or McIntosh High respectively. If you live in the Starr's Mill High School district, you will play for Starr's Mill and wear the uniforms for Starr's Mill. The same will be true for players who live in the McIntosh High school district. If you have played football for Starr's Mill or McIntosh in the past and live out of the respective school districts, you will be placed on a wait list pending the final registration numbers between the districts. If players are needed to field a team, out of district players will be considered on a case-by-case basis so all have the opportunity to play the great sport of youth football. We will notify everyone on their status on the wait list by June 2nd. If you are a home school or private school player, you would play for the team that aligns with your school district.
Welcome back to the organization that has been the leader in youth football safety in Georgia. Safety is a priority as our organization has been recognized for the steps that we've taken to make the sport safe. We were the first to mandate baseline concussion testing; our coaches are certified and trained to teach "heads-up and rugby style tackling" to reduce concussion related injuries. Our goal is to make youth football safe and fun for our kids and to provide an opportunity to be a part of a great team sport.
